Toolsel

About Toolsel

A collection of small, fast utilities that do one thing and get out of your way.

What this is

Toolsel is 23 free tools for developers and anyone else who works with text, files and links — formatters, converters, generators and calculators. There is no account to create, no trial, and no feature held back behind a signup wall. You open a page, do the thing, and leave.

How it works

23 of the 23 tools run entirely inside your browser. When you paste JSON into the formatter or drop a PNG into the converter, that data is processed by JavaScript on your own device and never travels to a server. Those pages carry a Runs in your browser badge, and that badge is checked against the tool’s registry entry rather than written by hand — it cannot quietly become wrong.

This is not only a privacy position. Processing locally means no upload wait, no file size limits imposed by a server, and no queue when the site is busy. It is genuinely faster for the work these tools do.

What we do not do

  • No account required for any tool on the site today.
  • No uploading of files that can be processed locally.
  • No storing of anything you type into a browser-side tool — we never receive it.
  • No selling of usage data, and no advertising profiles built from it.

Why it looks like this

Deliberately plain. A utility site is somewhere you arrive from a search result with a specific job in mind, and every hero banner, animation and modal between you and that job is a cost. The tool sits at the top of every page; the explanation sits below it, for the people who want it.

What is next

More tools, chosen by what people actually search for rather than by what fills out a category grid. Link shortening with real analytics is the next substantial feature. If a tool you expected is missing, that is useful to know — get in touch.
